Soo Line 0-6-0 346...sort of
Author: CPengineer

Soo Line 0-6-0 346 has been displayed for the past several years at the Wheels Across the Prairie Musuem in Tracy, Minnesota. Before that she was at a restaurant in Rochester called the Depot House, and they were the ones that outfitted her with the giant smokestack. I'd last seen her in 2006 when she was displayed as a DM&E (!?) engine. I'd heard that she'd had some work in the past few years and was looking better, so last weekend I stopped by to see her. Improvement? Don't know about that. She's now dressed as a C&NW engine, and the big stack remains. However, the museum has made some great improvements to their buildings and grounds. The first photo is from 2006; the second from 2014.

That's not a smoke stack - it's funnel used to add liquid smoke!

Sigh.
