Here's one shot looking east. Date: 09/15/14 20:46 Re: Monday Afternoon At The U.P. Steam Shop Author: upheritage6 I spy a DRGW F unit.
Date: 09/15/14 22:54 Re: Monday Afternoon At The U.P. Steam Shop Author: CarolVoss And the three non-operating steam locos are in the brick building?

My office is in the distance just to the right of the curve o the mainline across from 4004 in Holiday Park.

I would love to see a photo when the roundhouse and I would imagine the backshops were still intact. MilwMike Date: 09/16/14 07:45 Re: Monday Afternoon At The U.P. Steam Shop Author: BAB Thanks very much for the image never have seen such before. Quite a layout well maintained. Are all of the passenger cars and buildings by the roundhouse used for storage?

Yes, they were all older baggage cars, that were no longer needed. Date: 09/16/14 08:22 Re: Monday Afternoon At The U.P. Steam Shop Author: MJV1988 Poor UP E8 #928 looks like it's definitely seen better days. Nice to the CNW F unit #401 still on it's trucks. Any plans for the B units or E/F units?

The CNW/DRGW F units were up for disposition when I was there. We had a whole series of CNW F's and some were sold to a dinner train out of St. Louis. Steam Shop Author: djansson I recall hearing that UP intended to have an all E-unit A-B-B-A set but quit work on the second B unit when they re-engined the two As and one B into (basically) "E38-2"s.
Date: 09/16/14 23:12 Re: Monday Afternoon At The U.P. Steam Shop Author: davew833 I think the plan originally was to make the second "B" unit into an E38-2 as well. As far as I know work was never even started on that one.
