Heard from a friend the Chama Steam Fall Madness event was back on down on the Cumbres & Toltec. So, I went and looked it up for myself, and here was the post from 9/18 on the official Chama Steam Excursions Facebook page...
"The Madness continues:
Chama Steam Fall Madness is on track, with a full head of steam!
We still have room for some more happy railfans. If you are thirsty for smoke and steam, this is the place to be on Sept. 27 - 29.
The aspen trees are going to be in full regalia, the 463 will be belching smoke and we're going to have a fantastic trip!
We'll start with a gala night photo shoot starring #463, on 9-27.
On Sunday, 9-28, #463 will head out of Chama at dawn. We'll explore the best runby spots along the way and tie up in Antonito for the night.
On Monday, 9-29, we'll once again be up before dawn, and catch the early light on the high desert out of Antonito, then head for Chama, with many wonderful runbys along the way.
You don't want to miss this trip!

Yes sir re-bob, I got the word from Jay on Wed. evening that it was back on track. I should have posted it then but I had a little bout with the Tuolumne county crud (bad cold) and been sick for a few days. Who's ever heading for Chama see you there in a week.
