Steam & Excursion > WMSR Steel Wheel Festival SundayDate: 09/28/14 20:25 WMSR Steel Wheel Festival Sunday Author: RuleG I needed a steam fix, so I headed drove to Cumberland for the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad's Steel Wheel Festival. The following are photos from the festival. I didn't go on the shop tour, but the work being done on 1308 was capably documented in wmbrakeman's fine thread of photos of this on Saturday.

Additionally, the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad Foundation had a display table for the C & O 1309, WM Business Car #204 and signal restoration projects. In lieu of paying for a ticket to ride a train, I made a donation to the Foundation. More information can be found at:
http://www.movingfullsteamahead.com/ The museum had some small, but interesting, displays of Cumberland's railroad and brewery history. 12) A model of the Queen City Hotel and B & O Station 13) A display of B & O dining China 14) A display of Old Export breweriana Date: 09/28/14 21:04 Re: WMSR Steel Wheel Festival Sunday Author: RuleG 15) A very late Amtrak #30 arriving in Cumberland around 2:40 pm

This credit union appears to be a major financial institution in Cumberland. Thanks for looking. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 09/28/14 22:05 by RuleG. |
