All, Follow the above link to the photos from my most recent visit to the East Broad Top a few weeks back. Most of my time was spent in Orbisonia photographing the closure, with Mother Nature doing her best to reclaim. I did wander north to Mount Union and south to Pogue. My next trip will focus between Pogue and Robersdale. This gallery is entirely film; Fujifilm Pro 400H in a Canon AE-1 Program 35mm camera and 50mm/F1.8 prime lens. Enjoy, Matthew Date: 09/30/14 07:17 Re: East Broad Top on film 2014 Author: Frisco1522 Well that's probably the saddest thing I will see today. I can't imagine the work it would take to get this road back into operating shape. I'm sure all of the engines are out of date too. Do they fall under FRA jurisdiction?

What are the tall smoke stacks in the background? Is the a "Friends of EBT group"? Are the locomotives in the roundhouse?

There is an active Friends of the EBT society: http://febt.org/ Date: 09/30/14 13:22 Re: East Broad Top on film 2014 Author: RNinRVR I agree on how sad it is that the parties involved couldn't come to terms to keep this line running. I was there last June visiting the Trolley Museum and walked around the EBT yard.

Very nice coverage. That graveyard in photo 50 may include a marker for the EBT. Where do you get your film processed?

Here's the link from my visit to the 2011 Fall Railfan Spectacular. It was an awesome time, with an awesome railroad. https://www.flickr.com/photos/twenty17teen/sets/72157646490748800/ Matthew, thanks for taking the time to capture and share those images. Even in their sadness, they tell a great story, and I appreciate what you've done here. JWR Date: 10/04/14 10:04 Re: East Broad Top on film 2014 Author: Keystone1 Nice pictures. In fact, damn nice pictures. I'm sorry to see the line gone. Who set up the lighting? Peter Lerro?
