You are getting inventive.
Date: 10/13/14 15:50 Re: Double Header = Running Gear At Work Author: Frisco1522 At first I sort of cringed. One of our first trips with the 1522 was on the NS to Decatur, IL. There was a camera man from a video company in the cab and he had a camera on a boom which he stuck out the gangway. He figured wrong coming to a bridge and the camera splatted on the end of the bridge.
I had my camera on a tripod at Cumbres one time and the train came by and I had forgotten how wide the 480s were and it came within an inch of hitting my camera when the cylinders went by. Whew. Date: 10/13/14 16:26 Be careful out there! Author: LarryDoyle I was on the 1003's break-in runs on the North Shore Scenic out of Duluth in 1996.
A news station had affixed a camera, as you did. We stopped for a red board near Marbles, while the conductor called the 'spactcher for a Track Warrant and CTC signal indication to get us into Two Harbors. Our pilot took advantage of this interlude to climb down from the cab discreetly to relieve himself between the drivers. Or, unbeknownst to him, not so discreetly. -John Date: 10/13/14 16:34 Re: Double Header = Running Gear At Work Author: Wacky-roger1942 Frisco1522 Wrote:
