Back in 1977 Harold Borovec steamed up Inland Empire #924 and ran her out to meet the Royal Hudson in Centralia, WA. Here is a short video of that day.

The 924 met the royal Hudson in chehalis at the main street crossing where the C,C&C.railroad switch came in to the BNSF. mainline. I was firing that day. The chehalis mayor and Chamber of Commerce Director gave the royal h. Crew a basket of gifts from the local business . Then on the was back to the industrial park we stopped at kit Carson for coffee and birthday party for harold Borovec's father Hommer.
