Common operator's complaint...

"AWWW,
"But, you can't Keep the White-Walls tires clean!!!..."

ALL three look their best --from a distance IF all-black wheels, they would disappear! and it'd look like a Dismal...
White-Walls always RULE. And, yes. I've painted WWs lots of times on many different locos, big & small. Its easy enough!

#1 - GCR #29 near the South Rim.... that's gotta be sometime between December 1990 and Spring 1995.... the ex-LS&I 2-8-0 has been cold since #4960 was resurrected in 1996.

Thank you flash 34. I do not have correct answers so feel free to make guesses. Now I remember the name of the bridge in #3. It is Moodna (or something like that) in New York. Here is another shot as the C&O614 is going from Newark to Port Jarvis on the same day.

Haruo, yes, that is the Moodna Viaduct. I can't give the date, but it was part of the last great series of 614 outings that Ross Rowland operated.

That would have been October 1997, I believe, Jim.

The 614 date would be correct as my (ex)wife was very pregnant with my daughter who was born in January of '98. We were on one of those trips. Probably the best run bys anywhere by any locomotive. And correct me if I'm wrong, but its "Port Jervis" not Jarvis.

Thank you for the identifying the year and month.

Finderskeepers,
Thank you for the confirmation of the date and correction of the spelling. It certainly is Port Jervis.

In New Yawk, Jervis is pronounced Jarvis. Very easy to get it wrong.

Born and raised in northern New Jersey, and it was always "Port Jervis" for me. I have been there many times in the late 1950s thru the late 1960s.
