A Day Out with PM 1225 11/8/14
Author: ngfan

Went over to Owosso last Saturday for the book signing on the New 1225 book. Had a good chat with the authors as I got my copy signed. 1225 was tucked inside the engine house being prepped for the upcoming North Pole runs that are all nearly so out. They are adding a commuter coach to create additional seating. Attached are a few photos of the locomotive and car collection.

Thanks for these. It won't be long before PM 1225 does her stuff again.
I'm chomping at the bit to chase her for a month :-)

John.

ngfan, thanks for posting those. Would you mind if I "stole" your cab shot? 14 years ago I put my fingerprints (OK, gloveprints) on the throttle, brake handles, whistle control, light control, and that great reverser wheel, as part of the MSTRP Engineer for an Hour program. No cab photos were allowed and I have been trying to get a good shot of the cab ever since.

Why did they forbid cab photos back then?

I don't know why they forbid shots in the cab back then. I was armed with a Pentax ME Super and a VHS camera. Fortunately had a cousin who lived nearby and he got some "chase" shots which I treasure.
