Call me crazy, but advertising steam would've gone a long
way towards increasing patronage today!

I had heard rumor that #60 might be running today - glad
you were there to catch her.

Was it just luck on your end? Do they expect to run Sunday?

Mitch - I have to agree with you 100%!! I really think that more promotion would bring out more passengers!! This could have been their year to pull more business from the steamless NH&I! I did not know that #60 was running until around noon when I was outside working on my lawn tractor. I heard the whistle so I knew steam was running!!! The Valley RR does such a great job of promotion that I believe most of their North Pole Express trains are already sold out!! Have a great Thanksgiving!!!

It was just luck that I found the steam operation. I was on my way home from Three Bridges, NJ after shooting the Erie unit and decided to take the back way from Flemington via Sargentvile and Stockton when the northbound train crossed the road right in front of me.

What are you talking about, All trips Saturday and Sunday will be steam, but better than that they are all sold out, three trips a day plus a caboose charter each trip.
