The 10th annual Oregon Rail Heritage Foundation Holiday Express is running three weekends, November 28-30, December 5-7, and December 12-14 on the Oregon Pacific Railroad out of Oaks Amusement Park in SE Portland, Oregon. The Oregon Rail Heritage Center will be open regular days/hours (Thursday through Sunday, 1 to 5) except closed Thanksgiving and Christmas days.

Since the 4449 is not available for any portion of the Holiday Express trips this year, I would expect the 700 to be supporting all three weekends in full support of ORHF.

I was told they ARE going to the BNSF Vancouver event the weekend of 12/20-12/21.

Yes, we are doing all 3 Holiday Express Weekends as well as the BNSF Santa Train in Vancouver. A total of 4 weekends in a row and we start steaming up this week at ORHC!

I'm pretty sure the 700 crew had committed to the Vancouver trip, and that is why the first weekend for the Holiday Express is this coming weekend. The 700 crew is going to be busy for the next FOUR weekends.

Rightly so, since the 700 is due its FRA mandated 15 year inspection the summer of 2015. Thus, not much opportunity to run any more.
