Are there any plans for the 3751 to run in 2015?

Im guessing the usual to San Bernadino and maybe Fullerton Railroad days, Would be nice to see another San Diego trip before it goes down for inspection.

I was told last year by one who would know that there would not be a San Bernardino trip this year, and I haven't heard anything different yet.

They are doing some construction at the depot with the metrolink tracks or something I remember. I don't think there is a Railroad Days 2015 as a result. It's not listed on the depot website.

Correct. IIRC however this construction was originally scheduled to get underway in 2014 and at first there was to be no 2014 RxR days in San Berdoo. So who knows what will happen when April rolls around.

There was some talk that the 3751 group was trying to get a few trips together for 2015 and San Diego was mentioned but nothing set in stone. I sure hope they can get a trip or two scheduled for the 3751. Always great to see her out on the mainline.

Anyone know of the status of that construction or where to even find that status at the SB depot? I was searching around last night and couldn't find info on it.

Be nice to see a San Diego trip in March for the Depot's Centennial

Over Raton Pass would be great, with photographer-friendly stops and runbys at each semaphore location near Las Vegas. Also stops at Raton Tunnel and the Santa Fe billboard there and at Wootton. I know, I don't even think there is a wye at Trinidad any more, but I can always dream, can't I? === === = === JLH

Another trip to Bakersfield would be cool...highly doubtful, or how about a trip to New Mexico and doublehead with the 2926...

As of two weeks ago no construction has taken place at the San Bernardino Station.

New flood control pipework was buried in front of the SB-SF Depot. The whole parking lot will be redone, as will two tracks behind the depot. Double tracking is underway east of depot to San Bern. Track work planned west of the Depot. The display diamond removed from Colton is on site. A display caboose is planned west of depot. A model RR is an idea for the east depot room. The cafe will reopen if plans work out. Events are scheduled in the museum, SBdepotmuseum.com.
