in the early 70's. I think it was numbered 1433 or something like that Dick Yager Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 01/19/15 08:16 by IronDuke. Date: 01/19/15 08:54 Re: CN 4-6-0 at New Hope amd Ivyland. Author: Finderskeepers She is long out of service (CN 1533), and in derelict condition now. Shame as she was a pretty little engine with nice 10 Wheeler lines
click and paste this link for a picture of a very sad looking engine. http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=2273336 here is how she used to look http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=96059&nseq=15 Edited 2 time(s). years back they cleaned her up a bit and put on a coat of protective primer. If I recall correctly, CN #1533 was last in service for about 10 days in 1975. 2-8-0 #40 was restored and operated in 1975 and has been the engine of choice since. In the late 60's, both #40 and #1533 were active while in the late 70's both #40 and 0-6-0 #9 (now at SMS in New Jersey) were both active. Dick Date: 01/19/15 09:56 Re: CN 4-6-0 at New Hope amd Ivyland. Author: ALCO630 I was going to ask about the NdeM 4-8-4, but I guess that cab in the background in that last shot answers that.

As for NdeM #3028 - she moves back and forth between the deadline at the end of the line way behind the shops and occasionally into the yard and even the shop, but it's been some time. Rumor has it the owners would like to get her back for display at a new Alco museum in NY? Here's a pic from a thread I posted in October of 2013: http://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?10,3205335,3205343#msg-3205343 /Mitch Date: 01/19/15 11:58 Re: CN 4-6-0 at New Hope amd Ivyland. Author: Rdg170 Here's the 1533 in better days. The first two are from March 1967 when the 1533 was used in mixed train service to Ivyland. I was at Wycombe helping my grandfather who was employed by the railroad at that time. They were refurbishing the interiors of two coaches (1505 and 1424). The crew were switching out some of the blue, former King Coal/Schuylkill coaches. The third is a runby on a fantrip from New Hope to Ivyland in September 1971. This was in conjunction with the NRHS Convention in Bethlehem, PA.
