Is anyone working on this Pacific? Is it going to happen in our lifetime? What do you think?

I just wonder how you get all those staybolt holes drilled to match on the outer sheet.

I was thinking the same thing, but I think once the 26 is buttoned up it will free up resources to make some progress on her. I know there has been considerable work done on it, but a lot of it either isn't visible, or hasn't been applied to her yet.

That locomotive looks almost exactly the way it did when I attended NRHS Railcamp back in 2000! The work done there moves at an excruciatingly slow place.

Well 26 is nearly completed. I believe that 3713 is the next.

Damn, every time I see this engine more is missing, I thought it was being restored not pieced out!

Apparently there is a group, The Lackawanna & Wyoming Valley Railway Historical Society, that has been sponsoring the restoration of the 3713.

It appears that they have been funding the work on the 3713, for a while. The fund raising has probably been going slow.

On their website they announced that they have received a $10,000 grant in January 2015 towards the restoration.

Not affiliated with the group, just passing along some information.
