Believe it or not, taken a few years ago up at Steamtown in Scranton, the smoke you see is not 4012 (of course)- but it's CN 3254 just down the track on the opposite side. Note that the Big Boy's paint job looked a LOT better only a few years back compared to today.

White lettering...the U.P. used aluminum on their locomotives. Poor preparation of the existing surface contributed to the results not lasting. I bet this job went out on bid.
