An ore train on the Adverse branch (NNRY)
Author: Harlock

In my last post TrainRider47 commented that he was happy to see the adverse branch back in operation along with ore hoppers out on the line.

At the NNRY we enjoy re-creating period correct shots, because it's one of the few places where you can. Here we have #93 with empties returning from the big trestle above the smelter at McGill. The only potential problem with this shot is I don't know if they had the ability to turn the engines there, or if they shoved back or pulled back to the mine.

There was a wye at Adverse. It was still there in 1987, but gone in 1988. Kennecott tore it up.

Thanks Mike,

Great Shot! The background scenery really makes the Adverse branch a highlight of a NN weekend.
