Date: 03/29/15 10:13 Re: More Shots of SP 2472 Author: Barstool For the third trip of the day on the 2472, my son and I rode in the cab of the 2472 both down and back between Sunol and Niles, the two guys you see in these shots were handling the third trip and were talking back and forth as the 2472 made demands and the engine just did what it does best...It was hot in the cab and when the trip was over, I was damp but not wet, but in this day and age, getting a ride in steam power is hard to beat, a trip to well remember....

I'm still waiting for just about any sign of spring in the northeast - they're talking about the possibility of snow showers today! Looks like everyone was having a great time. I was out there last year for the five tanker locomotives in June, and it was most enjoyable.
