Lincoln Funeral Train

I was just wondering what Locomotive was used to pull the Lincoln funeral train and if she survived. If she survived where she is today.

According to a web site selling books by Scott D. Trostel about the Funeral Train, at least 42 different locomotives were used to pull the original Lincoln Funeral Train.

Leviathan and the Lincoln Funeral Car will be visiting the Lorain & West Virginia Railway in Wellington, Ohio over Memorial Day. Tickets, including for the night photo shoot, can be purchased here: http://lsra.org/schedule.html

P.S. it will NOT be runnng, but appartently on static display at various locations.

Thanks I did not think about they most likely used more then one locomotive to cover the places they did before returning to ILL.

It will be running at the Lorain & West Virginia. I can't speak to other locations, just ours.

Right from the website for the funeral train, the Lorain & West Virginia will be the first place that Leviathan and the funeral car will be displayed together.

Lincoln Funeral Train UPDATE: The Lincoln Funeral Train will not travel from Washington, DC to Springfield, Illinois this month. However, the Lincoln Funeral Car WILL be in Springfield. The train's first full appearance (locomotive and funeral car) will be Wellington, Ohio over Memorial Day weekend (May 23-25). Please stay tuned for other dates and locations.
