Steam & Excursion > Frisco 1352

With all the excitement of Reading 2100 coming back, I was curious about the current
status of this engine for the American Steam group. How much more is needed to be raised
before it can be moved to Cleveland and will it take a backseat to the 2100 restoration? Thanks in
advance.

 

Thank you for asking about 1352.   She is not taking a back seat if anything we would like to see her come home this year if the money for shipment can be raised.   We are putting a final plan for her and in the coming weeks will be a announcement about what is in store for 1352.    Please stand by as we get 2100 home then can turn our attention to 1352.

It seems like that roundhouse will be a little crowded in the near future..any plans to add a longer stall and a longer turntable so that the engines and tenders can fit without being split up? Or perhaps a new home is being sought out?

Finderskeepers, no, Midwest is our home.  Plenty of other projects work like this with tender and locomotive separated.  It's been done before and it will work fine for us as well.  I can not speak for what plans Midwest may have for the future, though.  I belive their first priority is to complete the stabilization of the southeast corner of the roundhouse first.
