Dickens has to have a rube in Omaha who is proping him up. Who is it? anyone know?

That is the VP that put him in the position of being the current manager, but Eisley has long since retired, as well as Robert Dumbrowski.

Right now, it's the Union Pacific lawyers. The current cases against Mr. Dickens say that he caused a hostile work enviorment. Now since UP is also named in the suit, they can't remove him because it could weaken their case.

Once these cases are heard and verdicts are handed out, then we will see some changes (maybe) in Cheyenne.

I thought it was the personnel lady?

Nope.  Still there and entrenched.

I'd say who cares. This topic has been hashed about time and again. Until something substinative happens I just say forget aboout it. There isn't any use fretting on the internet about it. It's not like our comments are going to change anything. My best advice would be to hope fot the best out there and expect the worst. If things turn out well our glasses might all turn out to be half empty. B.

I agree we will never find out, but I would asked who is he sleeping with to keep the job?

Doesn't really matter.  At that level in the heirarchy, nothing
will happen to them.

Eventually a scapegoat will be hauled up and shot.

Really?  Are you saying that lower-echelon employees, especially schedule employees, are quick to get thrown to the wolves and the higher ups can pretty much do anything with impunity?  I've THOUGHT that for a long time, but now it's nice to see someone is validating my theory.  **sarcasm key engaged**

The sad news is that this phenomena is not just limited to UP.  It's true with EVERY organization, some worse than others.  UP is apparently very good at it.

Well, I wouldn't say "no one", but those in the know will probably not post it here.

Actually there were/are several benefactors.  Rumor has it that there
is a huge vat of Kool-Ade on the roof of the Omaha HQ building.

Seriously, nothing is going to happen to any of these people as long
as they can find others to toss to the lions.

Now, if one of them ge's cold feet and rats out the other, all bets are
off.  But there were so many mistakes made and being made that they
all share the blame for that they will lay low until something is revealed
in the trials.

At that point, the search for people who had little or nothing to do with
it, or who warned against it, will be dumped like last week's coffee.
