In some of Roger's videos from May 2015, it sounds fine; but in others it sounds like maybe the valve is opening too fast and/or too far, resulting in some shrieking and other unpleasant noises.
Please keep in mind that I know virtually nothing about the adjustment or operation of steam whistles, so maybe other factors such as operator technique may influence the sound.
