I'm curious, what would you say were the years you hung out with your Grandpa around the Oakland facilities. Just guessing, but I do think your photos cover a much longer time frame than your actual experience, thanks to your acquisition of photo collections. My own experience there, as a traveller, were 1947 - 1958, the last time I was in the Mole. When I moved back to SF in '62, and had a car, I'd roam around the coach yards and engine facility, and did so up until I moved away in 1971. AA
