I will guess it may be Western Maryland Shay #6 at the Cass Scenic Railroad in Cass, West Virginia.  It truly runs almost every day.  It weighs 162 tons!

Wonder what that 2-6-6-2T compound articulated weighs, that operates out in South Dakota?  Also, I'll bet that big 2-8-0 on the Western Maryland Scenic RR weighs more than 162 tons also.

The Black Hills #110 weights around 110 tons.

Western Maryland Scenic's "WM 734" should weigh in at 217 tons light, without coal or water. If C&O 1309 takes up the mantle next year and runs regularly, I'd imagine it will be the champion at about 316 tons light.

I would think that Pacifics, ATSF 3415 and SP 2472 would be among the bigger ones along with the 4960

However, none of them operate "regularly".

How abouts Strasburg #90, 2-10-0,   212,000 pounds?
Pretty big loco in regular service..

Phillipsburg, NJ, has Chinese-built 2-8-2,

Also, there's 'sister' to that engine, the NH  2-8-2  replica in Connecticut.

Further,....

Why wouldn't the 1225, 2-8-4, in Michigan qualify?

WMSR 734's combined engine and tender weight is 435,000 lbs or 217.5 tons.  She may be the winner.

And the fine print on the builders plate doesn't say "Made in China".
