Let's have a look from on top
Author: tomstp

WrongWayMurphy sent me this photo of the SP's Sunbeam at a station stop in Ennis, Tx..  It is from an angle not normally seen .  The top of the engine is amazingly devoid of the normal steam items which are buried underneath the streamlined top.   However, close inspection will reveal two covers for the sand dome.

Railfanning obviously existed back then as we have one man in a hat looking at the engine's running gear and possibly another who's attention is temporally interrupted by a good looking girl.  Maybe his heart is torn between the engine and her!

Thanks for sharing. The man with the hat could also be a railroad official.
