I rode the WMSRR for the first time last month, and while I really enjoyed the trip, I was a little disappointed going around Helmstetter's Curve.  The brush is pretty tall, and obviously it is much different than when viewed in the WM books and pics from the 50s-60s.  Great trip overall, and I bet it is really awesome to watch WM Challengers take the curve!

Can someone identify the whistle on 734 . It sounds like the whistles on the UP FEF class 4-8-4  locomotives.

It is reportedly a standard Western Maryland Hancock 3-chime.
