ATSF 2926 Work Update Week Ending 07/25/15
Author: Cumbresfan

It's certainly nice when preparing removed parts for reinstallation is the focus of work. And that is certainly the case this last week of July. Photos show final "skinning" of pipes readying them for painting before mounting. Also, examination of the removed sand dome showed areas of metal had rusted through. It required cutting the dome in two to properly replace metal where necessary. The machinists were busy drilling out bad bushings from trailing truck brake levers in preparation for new ones. They are also fabricating new bolts to replace broken stud bolts. And the feral kitty's are always looking to be fed, actually rubbing against the person as he prepares the day's food - a short video included.

It appears that the good -natured crew of the 2926 is being manipulated by a group of nefarious cats who are obviously NOT starving! Reminds me of my cats!

Yup, there's 4 or 5 feral cats acting as security guards :)
