If this whistle is the one mounted on 425 it is great hearing it again.

This whistle is indeed a JCL replica which measurements were taken from the original which came off Pacific 830 back when she was scrapped.

The original belonged to a late friend given to him by his dad which was procured from the Jersey Central at the E'Port "Bone Yard". My late friend had it for many years, after his death in 2002 his wife kept it for a while, it remained in my collection of horns for a while, in fact I painted the inner chamber's red, since returning it back to her.

She eventually agreed to sell it to a Reading & Northern employee whistle collector, it has made a appearence on 425 in the past.

Well in my opinion it is the best whistle I have heard on 425 in awhile. Who else approves?

Listening to that whistle echoing through the Lehigh gorge last weekend is an experiance I won't soon forget.
