Steam & Excursion > Old Photos and UP steamDate: 10/05/15 10:26 Old Photos and UP steam Author: badtanker1987 The photos do not belong to be but I was hopping I can do some research for a friend. They are from the Kemmerer, Wyoming area, I think from the 1950s. The first photo I think is a Challenger comming out of the tunnel west of Kemmerer. The other is a depot, I think it is at Fossil, Wyominmg. However I don't know for sure, anyhelp on them would be great. The photos belonged to a great grandmother, who has sinced passed.

Too slow for UP's liking, the were all disposed of as soon as traffic and delivery of 3900s and 4000s allowed.

Thank you Posted from Android Date: 10/07/15 14:32 Re: Old Photos and UP steam Author: MaryMcPherson I've never seen anything besides roster shots myself. The only action scenes I've ever seen of former N&W engines were of the ones purchased by the Santa Fe.
