I wish you all could see this locomotive today, rusting away in the B&O R.R. Museum front yard in Baltimore, and the museum management does NOT care one bit.  They honestly do not know nor appreciate history.  They are a farce for sure.

Which T-1 is it?  Can't read the number in the photo and I am not familiar with the history of the last Reading locomotives.

It's Reading 2101.  Ross re-numbered it AFT 1 for the tour.  Afterwards the 2101 number was restored for the Chessie Steam runs.

Any more pics from Cincinnati?

my dad took us down when I was 5 or 6, so I don't remember all of the details, including which locomotive was there.  Did the 4449 ever visit cincinnati on the AFT?

We did pass through Cincinnati again (twice actually) in the summer of '76 to get to Dayton- but still w the T-1.

I think Chattanooga is about as close as 4449 got to Cincinnati during its AFT days.

My geography in this part of the country is a bit soft, so I'm not sure of the mileages...
The '49 got to Chattanooga with a Southern Railway fan trip, but with the AFT itself, the 4449 got as far north as Washington DC and took the train south to the tour's end in Miami.
