I totally understand the reasons why SLSTA pulled the plug and would never dream of second guessing their decision. 1522's absence is sorely missed in these parts.

That long mournful whistle in the distance on a moonlit summer night brings back memories as a kid lying in bed and looking out the window at the trailing smoke as she runs quickly through the night . People who came along after steam don't realized what they missed. Damn , they were the best of times

of railroads willing to host the engine. Also car rental was expensive. Frisco1522 can add more if I have missed anything. patd3985 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > burlingtonjohn Wrote: > -------------------------------------------------- > ----- > > I've said it before and I'll say it again. No tripod, and WAY TOO much zooming in and out. Pretty hard on the old eyes.
