Steam & Excursion > Coaches added to 611 Manassas trips

Two Washington DC NRHS Chapter coaches, the Collinsville Inn and Franklin Inn, have been added to the 611 Manassas excursions on June 4 and 5.  As of now coach tickets are available for all three trips including the previously sold out Saturday trip.

Gee I hope they don't put them near the front to screw up the paint scheme.   ;>)

This is great! All the excursions have been a big success so we should see more next year God and NS willing.

Who cares where they place the coaches?  I sure don't.  The sponsoring organization and the railroad need to make money to pay for the operation of the train including the insurance and this trip is not being operated for the benefit of you photographers, many of who do not make any monetary contribution to these operations.  I can tell you this:  the owners of these passenger coaches, like the Washington Chapter NRHS, have spent a lot of money restoring and maintaining their equipment and believe me, it takes big bucks today to keep these cars in service.  If you don't like where they place the cars, go fly a kite.

The same people that "care" whether or not
the Virginia Museum of Transportation elects
to paint the locomotive blue with pink dots
adding a "VTM" banner on the smokebox
and tender.
