Just When Trackside Weeds Thought They Were Safe This Appears!

A while back I posted an ancient photo of an early "weed burner" used in Illinois during the turn of the last century.  Well time marches on and so does the Baldwin Locomotive Works dedication to eradicating trackside weeds.

I present you with the Baldwin Weed Destroyer!  This narrow gauge unit was built in 1925 for use in the Phillapine Islands and the heavy vegetation that grew up between the rails there.  As you can see, she is even superheated!

The weeds on this railroad simply do not stand a chance!

For us non-experts on steam how can we tell it is superheated?

The spec card I attached says it is superheated.

stated clerly that is was 125 sq ft superheated.

The axles appear unpowered, to me, so it must need a locomotive of some kind to move it about.

Also, the gadget on the side of the smokebox is a superheater damper control.

I agree looks like it just cooks them with steam like the last one shown here.

Looks like an AHM track cleaner. Just add fluid down the stack.
