"E.G." as we knew him around the KRM (River Road site era) and the long-gone Louisville NRHS Chapter was quite a character.  If, during a slideshow, an image of pretty much anything steam showed up on the screen, you'd hear shieks of joy from wherever he was sitting. If he knew the engine, he would relate where he saw it last, and might even go further to say that he got some pin grease out of the cab after the engine was in a scrapline. His O-scale model railroad used pin grease exclusively to lubricate his engines!

For some real excitement, if a photo of a Missouri & North Arkansas locomotive came on screen (his home road), he would whoop and holler and tell us stuff about the engine that simply was not known outside of his voluminous mind!

Great railfan - so glad his collection of photos is being cared for.
