Steam & Excursion > Blind driver questionDate: 05/30/16 06:23 Blind driver question Author: santafedan We had a discussion about blind drivers. Is the width of the blind driver a little wider than the flanged driver? That is, is it even wider including the flange?,

The self guarded switch frogs have raised outer rims (wide enough to accommodate a tread-and-flange of conventional width. The self-guarded frogs will cause nthe very wide "blind tires" to climb up and slam back down when blind drivers clatter over them.. W.
