The biggest question remains as to when the deadhead move will occur? Some say Wednesday, tomorrow and others are saying tomorow 0800 departure from Lynchburg.

We will be in the air photographing, what may be her last trip up the B Line again!!  If this is the last season for 611 on the former Southern in Northern Va, better get it while you can.

Let's hope it isn't the last time. I have sent my email to Mr Squires.

CORRECTION, the biggest question is not about photos or deadhead movements, but whether all of the tickets will sell thus ensuring a future for the 611.  Same thing for the 765 and other mainline steam.  If these trips do not make money, it will all come to a very quiet and boring end.

I suspect the 765 trips will sell out without my help, but I sure wish they could have been announced sufficiently early to allow distant fans to make travel and time-off plans, particularly in an already steam-saturated month.

Back to the topic at hand, thanks for the handy guide, Mr. Crosby! Riding Sunday, observing Saturday.

As it happens, I live in Manassas.  Will the 611 be in town this summer any time?

Be forewarned, there WILL be drones in the air at Delaplane and Broad Run... make sure your pilot is keeping his eyes peeled.  I know of at least 4 people flying UASs this weekend, including myself.

Wouldn't the person flying the drone be responsible for not hitting an actual aircraft? I don't know what the "rules of the road" are so to speak when it comes to drones.
