Steam & Excursion > At the time-- unintentional emphasis UP steam water tenderDate: 06/18/16 15:23 At the time-- unintentional emphasis UP steam water tender Author: Fallbridge4449 With the release and delivery of Scaletrains HO scale UP water tender set 2 weeks ago. This sparked me to dig around in my negatives for our little trip east to Hinkle, OR to meet up with UP844 on its west bound trip to Portland, OR in 2007.
Back then I thought no one would ever produce a model for these. J. The OSP didn't know about that one or didn't know the traffic jam it would cause coming out of Huntington OR. Traffic backed up for a reported seven miles. I ended up some how in the lane next to the tracks behind some cars that were running right alongside the engine.
