First sight of Steam into History
Author: bandob

While at a trackside playground in New Freedom, PA with my grandson Sunday, I heard a steam whistle in the distance. Sure enough, I was rewarded with my first-ever look at #17, the 4-4-0 of Steam Into History.  What a beautiful locomotive!

My sentiments exactly!  4-4-0 #17, "William H. Simpson," is a replica of the locomotive supposedly used to pull Lincoln's train to Gettysburg. It was built (from scratch) by Kloke Locomotive Works, LLC, Chicago, IL. The train started running in June, 2013.

The line also has two diesels. Trains run weekends and occasional weekdays during the summer.
