Steam & Excursion > CATS cited by CNN as the last authenic steam RR

When I saw their headline I wondered what they would choose.
I saw it was the CATS!
Within a world full of crtics of media it was some comfort that they got it right.

Define 'last authetic steam railroad'.....

I got a chuckle out of the headline... "the last authentic steam railroad".  I can think of a number of steam railroads that would declare they were not dead yet.

Well thanks guys.
I offer a bit of what I thought was good news and.....
Of course the whole headline is wrong to us on TO but it is something to be seen by a huge audience and that can only be good for the tourist RR industry.
I'm still glad they ran the story.
They could have nominated any of a dozen much more theme-park oriented steam RRs but at least they chose a contender.
I guess TO readers are just looking for bad news.

Everyone here has their pet railroad, and the headline challenges that.

For instance, the Reader RR was operating well after when the original C&TS was gone.  And Reader, as challanged as it currently is, still has operating steam and still is the original corporation dating back nearly 100 years now.
