Photo 5 - Highballing at speed past the station sign at Dover, CO, which used to be a settlement but is now only a setout spur, the only location between Carr and Nunn. Photo 6 - Leaving Dover at a very fast clip determined to make the scheduled arival time in Denver, with a drumhead hung on the porch of platform-obs "Cheyenne" bringing up the rear. On the train, yes. But NOT constantly mugging for the cameras from the Engineer's side or Fireman's side of the cab. And getting that westbnound stacker "meeting" the 844 and her train at Speer is incredible! Talk about timing -- wow! You nailed that one! Photo #4 with the 844 and train heeling to the curve is spectacular. The lighting in that one is stunning, and really makes that shot. Wow.... And you really lucked out with a train on the C&S bridge in Photo #3. Talk about lucky timing. Thanks for the nice photo of the open platvform of the Cheyenne with the drumhead. Didn't know the train had one until I saw this shot. Thanks! And you got her with her rods down in every single shot. That is even more good timing and luck. Wow..... A fantastic and stunning set of images, sir!! Well done! Thank you very much for posting these beautiful images here. Wow........ You, sir, have an artist's eye. (And the luck of the Irish!) Have to say I wasn't out there to physically see how many times he may have been in a photographers lens, but I can say from my experience here in the east on steam excursions that many a crew on a steam engine were very adept at "mugging: for the photographers.
