Spectacular work!  1 with crowd, 2 has a meet, 3 in city, 4 at power plant, 5 like the 1940s, 6 at granary. All favorites!

The first time I saw 844 I was half as tall as her drivers. That was close to 50 years ago..Now when ever I see her I think about my Father waking me up early in the morning to go watch 844 depart then chasing her on the freeway.

Fantastic shots, Cajon92 -- every single one!

Thanks for including the crowd in Photo #1.  That
is very important, as it tells the story of why these
magnificent machines run -- because they draw
crowds, and impress heck heck out of everyone.

Photo #2 -- You got a meet -- and with a former SP
engine, and with a great angle.  That was excellent
timing!

Photo #3 is great in the way you got  the entire train, which
you got  by your skillful use of a lens that must have been
pretty much a telescope with a camera body attached!  <G>
And you got the whole Denver downtownm, too.  There are
also a few people in this photo, which adds even more interest
to this superb shot.

Photo #4 is superb with the entire train and that visually
very interesting power plant in the background.  You got
the train as it was crossing over from one track to the other.
And the creek at the bottom is pretty, and gives nice colors
and good contrast to all the man-made elements in the
beautiful photo.  Very well done!

Photo #5 does a good job of showing just how massive and
huge these engines are.  The two men are dwarfed by the
844's huge drivers, and the massiveness of the rest of the
locomotive.

Photo #6 is stunning -- with the huge grain elevators and the
layer of dark gray storm clouds above the train, which was
still in the light -- and you got the 844 with her rods down!
Absolutely stunning!

All are stunning shots, sir!  Fantastic!  And I cannot decide
which one I like best, because every one is superb!

Thank you very much for psting these beautful photos
here.  What a treat they are.

There is no such thing as too many photos of the UP 844.

Not too shabby Ryan, and all this great stuff without a mountain to hike up. :-)
