Here are some photos of the return trip with UP 844 and the "Cheyenne Frontier Days" consist on Sunday, July 24th. My girlfriend Megan and I chased the 844 back north on its journey back home from Denver, Colorado to Cheyenne, Wyoming along UP's Greeley Subdivision.
  • UP 844 and UP 1989 with the Frontier Days consist leave the town of Platteville.
  • Chasers and bystanders watch and pace UP 844 as the train leaves La Salle along US-HWY 85.
  • After the area got pelted with a Severe T-Storm earlier, the sun broke through the clouds as UP 844 and company climb the small grade at Terry Ranch near Speer.

  • UP 844 has returned back home as the train passes underneath the signal bridge at CP W511 near Tower A in Cheyenne.

AWESOME PICTURES!!!!! 

However, the Train Crew ruins them with their "stUPid" yellow PPE vests on! Come on guys,
you don't have to wear them in the cab, on-board the train or in the vestibules/baggage doors!
