I keep thinking of a "caption this" on photo 2. Both of them at the Firemans side window looking down at the crowd...."We're looking for the Gaviota Trestle....?"

Spellings may be weak here:  Jack Wheelihan (HotWater here on TO) on the left and Doyle McCormack (LarryDoyle I think; he's the 4449 boss) on the right.

Correct order, yes but not "Larry Doyle", just the real Doyle McCormack. I don't believe he has anything to do with any RR site.

LET ME MAKE THIS PERFECTLY CLEAR.

Doyle McCormick and MYSELF are two separate individuals.

I only wish I had Mr. McCormicks experience, knowledge, and skill.   (I'm workin' on it.)

My "handle" comes from a character in the 1934 movie "Danger Lights", the best railroad movie ever made.  I AM a qualified locomotive engineer, and am qualified on two now OOS steam locomotives, and am hoping to aquire qualification on a third by years end (which should carry me with time to spare 'till they spread my own ashes).

-John Stein aka Larry Doyle

John,

Doyle is of Irish decent, thus it is spelled McCormack. The Scottish version is "McCormick".  The  "check spelling" feature on TO does NOT like "McCormack", and keeps trying to change it to "McCormick".
