D&RGW 315 in Silverton last weekend
Author: Diamond_D

While in the Silverton area doing some camping and 4x4 trails, I completely by accident stumbled across the Saturday evening excursion of the 315 from Silverton to Elk Park and return. I met a few other fine folks waiting to photograph the train and had some nice conversations while we waited for the return to town. Since I didn't see any photos from last weekend I thought I'd share a few.

Agreed!  What program did you use to process these images?  Obviously in the hands of a pro!

Excellent! Thanks so much for sharing. I'm envious of your skills and equipment, especially on #1. I've never been able to capture that range of perfect exposure/HDR at that same location. I either correctly expose the loco or the peak in the distance, but never front-to-back excellence like that. Wow!  :)

I never thought a tender could be a mirror. It is reflecting the mountain really well. Those are really good pics.

All I can say is, "wow". To see an engine working in her original paint, on her original line captured like this is special. Kudos to all
who put their blood, sweat, tears and money into restoring this park engine for the rest of us to enjoy.
