This weekend August 27th-28th is Railroad Heritage weekend at Tweetsie Railroad in Blowing Rock NC. Both locomotives former ET&WNC 4-6-0 12 and WP&Y 2-8-2 190 are operating this weekend due to the 12 coming online to handle the regular daytime Wild West trains and 190 going offline and to the shop to be dressed up for the upcoming Ghost Train Halloween Festival weekends. Saturday the engines are on seperate trains with 12 pulling ex EBT coach 7 and 190 pulling the regular Wild West train. Sunday the engines will be doubleheaded the first part of the day on the Wild West train and then seperated again in the afternoon.
