Troop train
Author: tomstp

It is 1943 and T&P  4-6-2 # 701 has brought its troop train to Cisco Tx.  It is sitting in one of two passing tracks waiting for a westbound. Unusually grimy for T&P passenger engines or even freight for that matter, the demands of war has made it skip the normal washing such power usually received. Even the cast bronz herald on the feedwater heater bundle is getting hard to read despite its brass, red and black color.   Maybe it will get washed when it arrives in Ft Worth.  That is of course, if there is another engine to take its place.

T&P did strange things with drivers.  I was looking at the 4-8-2 shot with the spoked 1 and 4 and disk 2 and 3.  Shoulda done all 4 in disk.  They were an awesome looking engine with that Elesco.
