Here's a short video of the SP 4449 running along the Oregon Pacific Railroad towards Oaks Amusement Park near Portland Oregon during the American freedom Train's 40th anniversary reunion. Near the end of the video the Portland Traction Co. 100, the engine that pulled the SP 4449 out of Oaks Park in 1974 to be restored, is seen waiting to pull the SP 4449 back to the Oregon Rail Heritage Center.

Yes, nice video Bruce.....the 100 (EMD SW1 built 1952) looks great.  Dick Samuels, OPR President, did a LOT of metal work before repainting it and adding the trolley pole (used to trigger crossing signals on the old Portland Traction line) to the restoration for this event.  This locomotive was used to pull the 4449 out of Oaks Park for restoration to be used on the AFT.   The 100 has spent it entire life on this line.

​a lot of people were involved in hosting the 40th AFT staff reunion here in Portland....for instance both the NKP 190 and SP 4449 received nice washes earlier in the week.......not a easy task..... just one of many, many tasks.    Arlen 

I don't think I've ever seen a video of a locomotive being paced by someone on (I assume) a bicycle.  Great video!!

Yes, the photo posted by BoilingMan is me riding alongside shooting a portion of the video from my bicycle. Sometimes that's what it takes to get the shot.
