Whistle in the Piney Woods

Had a little fun with former Magma AZ #7 (formerly Tremont & Gulf) yesterday in the
East Texas piney woods.

Near Rusk TX
Near Maydelle TX
Near DeepWoodsOff, TX

Turning #7 on the wye at Palestine TX

Backing up to the spring switch, past my official #7 chase car.

Engineer moves reverser to forward position, activates headlight.

#7 pulls past to couple to opposite end of pax cars

175 PSI seems about right

Glorious #7 at Palestine with injector activated

Interesting to see that they got rid of her signature copper painted smokebox.....wonder why?

Regarding photo #1, it just doesn't look right with a "Big Dome" on the drawbar of the tender of #7!

I did take video but file must be too big as it won't finish loading on this 
trainorders.com site.

Two possible reasons:

1. They don't know were to get the copper paint....

or

2. No one cares anymore.

If it is #1, the paint is Rustoleum ultra hi-temp Burnt Copper.  I could only find it in rattle cans, so I bought a whole case at the Palestine Home Depot.

If it is #2..... well it was great while it lasted.  At least it still is lettered Magma Arizona, and has the headlight on the smoke box door.
