Steam & Excursion > N&W 611 at Spencer NC 10/22 and 10/23/16

N&W Class J 4-8-4 611 spent the weekend of 10/22 and 10/23 pulling the museum train that takes visitors at the North Carolina Transportation Museum in Spencer NC on a tour around the 37 acre former Southern Railway Spencer Shops. On the afternoon of 10/22 a photo session was held after the last scheduled trip of the day with patrons taking advantage of late afternoon and evening sun angles with runbys held at different locations around the site. Shots 1-3 were taken on 10/22/16 during the photo session.

All the photos are great; wish we could see it here in Maryland sometime as we are starved for steam and mainline excursions.

Thanks for posting the nice series of photos. I especially like how the kudzu covered guide wire on the pole in the background of photo 9 looks like a big green, oversized giraffe neck and head.
