Steam & Excursion > Catskill Mountain RR ends two days early.

Catskill Mountain Railroad last train has run on the west end of their service between Mt.Temper and Phoenicia. The county intends to only permit a railbike service on the line next spring, but they have not signed any contract with the County that we know about.as yet.
The Kingston end  of the CMRR operation has a contract to operate this fall and next year.  The Polar Express is next on the schedule and check out their web site. The hurricane washed out the bridge because water from other reservoir flooded into the Esopus and destroyed the piers of the bridge at Cold Brook. .

 Oh, I'll bet that rail bike service is a big money maker. Thats just the trickle down to a bike trail.
