June 15th, 1995, and the Union Pacific 3895 Challenger is traveling from Waco to Fort Worth, Texas returning from the 1995 Gulf Coast Eagle excursion. Starts with the servicing stop at Waco / Bellmead at the Katy lane spur. Enjoy, Neil Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 11/26/16 16:42 by neildahl. You must be a registered subscriber to watch videos. Road dust, oil and grease in the right places, nothing polished or fresh-painted, just a relable machine in it's working clothes, with no embellishments, polished brass, spit-shined motionwork and bolier jacket, no flags, no pizza pan, nothing to make it look dainty and fragile and barely able to pull itself. It just looked like it should, sounded like it should (OMG rod noise) and ran like it was made to.
And the crew was a helluva great bunch of guys. I consider myself very fortunate to have known them and to have lived a Frisco dream.. Its all crap now.
